Patience Jonathan Hosts Last Children’s Day Party In Office
First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, today hosted Nigerian children to a party in Abuja, as they mark this year’s Children’s Day celebration.
Mrs Jonathan, who noted that the occasion was her last party that would be celebrated with the children and youths in the Presidential Villa, used the occasion to thank them for the respect and love they showed to her during her tenure in office.
She urged the children to be good and obedient children to their parents and remain patriotic to the nation.
Some of the children who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said they will miss Mrs Jonathan.
“I like the way she dances and plays with us whenever we come to the Villa for parties; I pray the new first lady will be dancing with us and giving us gifts during party,” Master Bolaji Oguns, said.
Patience Jonathan vacates the presidential villa on Friday as her husband leaves office as Nigeria’s President. President-elect Muhammadu Buhari will be sworn in on Friday.
