Aregbesola Promises To Pay Osun Workers’ 8 Months Salary Arrears Before September Ends
Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola has assured civil servants in the state that they will be paid their outstanding salary arrears before the end of the month.
He made the disclosure while speaking at the National flag off ceremony for the distribution of FGN/UBEC plastic chairs and tables to all the states in the country, in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
According to him, his administration is committed to the welfare of its workers. He therefore, reassured them that the eight months salaries owed them will be settled before the end of September.
However, the governor expressed dissatisfaction about the action of some workers who he said are working against his efforts to block leakages in all sectors of the state economy. He urged the workers to join in the fight against all corrupt practices capable of destabilising the nation.
